Hi
I am beginning to wonder if it takes woodoo magic in order
to assign an application to a newly created application
and actually make that icon stick around with the
application.
I have been given quite a few descriptions by people who
claim to have done it and I followed every single one of
them step by step to no avail.
The only method I found to be actually working is
*manually* copying the icns file into the application
bundle using the shell. Xcode never seems to get this
simple job done. Even though it shows the icon in the
target info, the application shows a generic icon. This
was the case with 1.2 and now the same with 1.5. All sorts
of weird things happen.
Can somebody please explain to me (or point me to an
explanation) in detail what I have to do in order to get
Xcode to make my application icon stick with the
application?
Having sacrificed half a dozen goats and a virgin on the
altar of the Xgod, which didn't work so well, I am still
hopeful that there might be an official method that will
actually do the trick all the time.
If any magician here would be so kind to share this secret
with me, I would really appreciate it.
thanks in advance
