I think the folks designing Xcode should take a long, hard look at
the
"necessity" of adding embedded editors everywhere and stop to think

of
windows needed to get anything done.
People - what's the _point_ of all those additional editors? It
doesn't
make anything easier for me. It's just confusing and a lot more work,
since I need to deal with three windows now instead with just one.
Agreemsg.
Maybe all of the Xcode developers are working on dual Cinema displays,
but on my 15" PowerBook there's only enough space for one editor.
Anything more just turns into a big jumbled overlapping mess.
I work with dual CDs and it stills makes 1.5 almost worthless to me; I
have editors all over the place. Added to this I usually have 2-3
version of the same project open at the same time, meaning 2-3 times as
many windows.
Also, someone else said that "An editor window is an editor window" and
hence the multiple editors doesn't matter. I'm sorry, I just don't buy
that since you're missing a crucial point: The different editors does
not share the same fiel history popup list, meaning that I edit files A
+ B in one editor (main e.g.), compile, get warning in A, clicks this
one and edit A in build window, and then realize I need to change
things in B as a result. But where, among all my windows, is editor
with B easily availabe?...
