No.
but i do need xcode to just
update into the head version and allow users to add new files.
These features work for me - the file browser tells you what files
need "help"
(adding, updating, etc). You can add files from XCode. You can update
to the
head. It seems to me like you're throwing a fit about the lack of
features when
the features are right in front of your nose.
Thats good to hear, I've found that the remote version doesn't update
when i add files both in xcode and at the terminal.
Yes, files need to be in the project to keep the user informed, but I
believe an
update covers the whole folders.
So, I suggest taking a step back, and reading the XCode documentation
-there's
an entire section on CVS in the XCode Help - perhaps the fault lies
not in
XCode, but that you're not thinking the XCode Way.
Perhaps.. Always worth question oneself. But I'm not trying to do
anything that clever., add update into the head version and use cvs as
a synchronization tool. I'm not even arsed about removing files
although it does occasionally succeed at this.
If it really really doesn't work how you want, there's always the
option of
writing an Applescript Plugin for XCode. Or having some training time
on how to
use CVS from the command line. :)
I'm happy using cvs at the terminal, but I'm trying to get others up
and running.. In fact I'll probably carry on using the terminal when
i've nailed this as I'm more comfortable with it. But I'm not enforcing
that on other folk i have to work with.
My two cents (and only comments) on the issue,

Come on man you must be joking if you're saying that xcode's cvs
support as fine and dandy.
My 2 pence (not sure how the exchange rate works).
Mark
