GDB internal error

Whenever I try to debug my latest project under XCode 1.1, I get the following in the debugging console:

GNU gdb 5.3-20030128 (Apple version gdb-309) (Thu Dec 4 15:41:30 GMT 2003)
Loading program into debugger...

A problem internal to GDB has been detected. Further
debugging may prove unreliable.

The Debugger has exited with status 1.The Debugger has exited with status 1.

The application icon bounces a couple of times and then the app quits. It runs just fine without the debugger.

Anyone seen this before or have any idea where I can start looking to solve this?
