Hey, wow, I've never used scaling in all those Mac years - but it works seamlessly. Thanks for the suggestion.


4) option to condense to show two columns A5 Portrait on an A4 Landscape page.

The print dialogs should give you this option already. (Perhaps it only works for PostScript printers - I don't know, since that's all I've used for ages now.)

Yep. That's the best thing of OS X > 10.2 - the "Layout" pane in the print dialog now works for every printer. I make regular use of it - in conjunction with the duplex and paper feed options.
