I guess people still don't understand...
I am not interested in using any terminal commands or additional apps to
access the CVS.
I am told it can be done directly through XCode and ProjectBuilder.
USER1 lives in HongKong, my server is in Florida, the guy in HongKong only
has XCode and a fast internet connection.
As long as he can Commit Changes through XCode my problems are solved.
I know nothing about it, I just want it to work, I don't have the time to
learn, I looked at the INSTALL directions, did exactly what it said to do and it
doesn't work, therefore, that app is useless to me, I need a simple working
solution, not bullshit instructions that require a degree to figure out or to go
read up on, my request is simple.
I need to make CVS work so a remote user can click on an option in the XCode
"SCM" menu and it does what it's supposed to do.
So far, this solution has not been suggested, my internet skills are limited,
I'm tired of hearing the same old crap about RTFM that people suggest, I
can't find anything when I search for it and can't find an idiot proof document
that gives me exact instructions without me having to guess at what is is they
are asking from me, like the INSTALL instructions for the cvsweb, edited the
lines as instructed with the information I know and it didn't work.
If you know so much about it, edit the two files for me, offering additional
reading material is not what I am interested in, I've succumbed to the fact I
know nothing about CVS and don't have the time to learn, this does not change
my needs.
I've probably pissed a few people off with this post and to that all I can
say is this, sorry but I'm just as frustrated because I can't make it work like
I'm told it will and no one is giving me an immediate solution.
Wanna be paid to do it, tell me your price, as long as it works as required
and the price is reasonable I have no problem paying for a solution.

Dale:
1. The link Robert pointed you at
<http://developer.apple.com/internet/opensource/cvsoverview.html>
is about as step-by-step as you're going to get. Alternatively, you
could follow the instructions in the CVS manual
<http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/cvs/
cvs_stoc.html>
or in the CVS Book
<http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/cvsbook.html>
Or you could search the mailing list archives where you'll find a large
amount of material on this precise topic. Either way, *you* have to do
something, because nobody is going to do it for you.
2. If you're going to use version control (*any* version control), you
need to read the manual. Version control is one area where, if you
stuff-up, you're going to spend serious amounts of time wishing you had
read the manual in the first place.
3. If you want advice on how to ask questions, Eric Raymond's "How To
Ask Questions The Smart Way"
<http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html>
is a good place to start.
Kind regards,
Alastair.
