Hmm, my cvs server is a solaris 8 box with cvs 1.11.14 and ssh installed.
As mentioned, command line is no problem, all works fine, even with the necessity of typing a password.

I don't quite understand the 'rights to read/write to the /usr/bin/cvs status project.pbxproj'. Isn't this just a file/directory which can be checked in and out as usual?
No, I am not administrator when working on this project, neither on the mac nor on the solaris box.

Port 80 is used by the httpd, port 435 ?!? is supposed to belong to 'mobilip-mn' and is not open on the solaris box.
I'm using ssh, so that should be port 22 only.

Still stumped.

Robert

Do you have rights to read/write to the /usr/bin/cvs status project.pbxproj? Are you an adminstrator on the mac? You need admin right typically to right to the directory in Panther. Try changing your default cvs location... maybe your documents location. If you do have admin rights check to see if you are using standard ports (80 or 435) to pass the authentication.
