where do I find the Legacy Makefile target? It doesn't seem to appear when I choose "new project".

Obviously, the information about a Makefile Project in the back of my head was aged. :-}

When using Xcode 1.2, you do:

- New Project -> Empty Project

- Project -> New Target -> External Target

- Double click the Target to edit it

You should be able to have both, a native and a External Target in one project. If you are building a Cocoa GUI for this great Linux application, for example.
