An originally created application target has two parent levels in

seen there is another parent level called 'Rez' in an application's
target.
1. How do I add the level and its children?
2. Is the mark which is located at the most left of the list view
important? Why I ask is that one of the Rez's children has no mark. I
don't know how the mark is important to make an app. If so, how do I
change the mark?
The three "levels" you mention (General, GNU C/C++, and Rez) are simply
organizational groupings for build settings. Rez appears in targets
that have a ResourceManager Resources build phase (for Mac OS 9-style
resources); if your target does not have that build phase, you will not
see Rez options in the target's Build tab. If you want to have the Rez
options, choose the target, select New Build Phase... from the Project
menu, and add a ResourceManager Resources build phase to that target.
I am not sure which mark you mean on the left side of the list view.
This changed between Xcode 1.2 and 1.5 so it would be helpful to know
which version you are using.
