Just to add my 2 cents.
The primary reasons I do not file bug reports are:
1) Never hearing anything but a canned response those times I have
submitted them.
2) Having to send my profiler data (which contains sensitive
information), even when it is not relevant to the report. (If you edit
the profiler data to remove the sensitive data and try to send it as
part of the bug report the sever gives an error.)
RANT: If you want to improve the quality of your product(s) open the
source so we can follow it (especially Cocoa), it would make debugging
easier (and MUCH faster) and allow us to trace and work around errors
(with less likelihood of creating additional problems), submit
recommendations for fixes & improvements (which should make your job
easier) and supplement the documentation which is still lacking
(however quickly improving), especially for early adopters of new
technology. i made the switch to Cocoa, but I resisted for several
years primarily because of the lack of source (the biggest thing I miss
about PowerPlant).
