At the risk of sounding defensive, I'm not sure that turning a column header into a pop-up menu is "intuitive". Why not just make a *real* pop-up menu? Maybe even with a label that says what its for. I checked and there is ample space in the tab...

We've gotten this feedback loud and clear, from several sources, thanks, and will work on a solution. This replaced the screen-real-estate-eating drawer that was widely disliked, but the reception of the column-header-popup hasn't been much better.
