There are two other pieces of information that could be relevant:

- I have already tried rebuilding the index, with no improvement

- the project seems to be ok because I can build it from my powerbook

The project is actually on the hard disk of my powerbook, and the problem arises when I open the project on my desktop G5 after mounting the powerbook disk over the network. I've been doing this for years with no problems until now.

I have recently been encountering an annoying problem where Xcode becomes unresponsive immediately after I perform either of the following actions:

1) click the 'Build' button

2) click to confirm a 'Clean all Targets'

I am getting warnings like the following in the console:

2005-04-04 13:54:49.458 Xcode[17311] Failed to load plugin at: /Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Plug-ins/WOAssistant.pbplugin, skipping. Could not load bundle.

2005-04-04 13:55:16.196 Xcode[17311] Warning: Directive to macro-expand missing file /Users/rhoge/Desktop/JUNK/JUNK.xcode/default.pbxuser

It looks like it might have something to do with having Web Objects installed...

Any comments on how to clear this would be appreciated - I will probably try installing Xcode.
