compilation errors ignored

I am reworking a CodeWarrior project of mine into XCode, but it refuses to see any coding errors, even blatant ones like extra braces.
The project is setup as a Java library so it has no main method to test it.

Why is XCode ignoring these errors when it doesn't in an applet or application? I'm sure there is other pertinent information needed, but I'm not sure what to give you.

Anthony
