<iostream> has been the standard for a long time. It would seem very strange if your program isn't building with that. What compiler error are you getting?


#include <iostream>

...

cout << "<(" << stringFromClass() << " *) "<< this << " [" << retainCount_ << "]>\n";

=>

error: `cout' undeclared (first use this function)

Works fine with "iostream.h".
