are you talking about Xcode 2? I'm in 1.5... I see "Delete Backward" as bound to "^H". I don't see a "Delete Friendly" or Friendly Delete" option... Is this only in Xcode 2, or am I looking in the wrong place?

It's called Indent Friendly Delete Backward, in the same Text Editing group as Delete Backward. And since I don't know exactly what "indent friendly" means, I'm not going to use it anymore :)
