the pbxuser file contains:
- window positioning & geometry
- window content (toolbar info, sub-view geometry)
- custom executables
- breakpoints
- bookmarks
- per-user per-project settings (like the built products directory)
In the future we want to provide better separation here (your custom
executable data is usually more crucial than the most recent window
layout).

I think it just stores previous search results and maybe window
layouts. I haven't been adding it and have had no problems so far.
Actually, adding it to Perforce has *caused* me problems sometimes.
:-) If I have two machines with the same short user name, but
different screen layouts. I can make XCode 1.0 get in weird states.
Haven't seen if any of the later ones have the same problem.
In my experience so far: XCode 2.0 does handle SCM on the project file
transparently. :-( Bug reporter time!
