Don't use XCode's editor. ;-) Frankly, for any file that huge there is
no replacement for Vim or Emacs.
First: Switch the workspace layout to Condensed.
Second: Change the mapping for source code files to your editor of
choice. This is in XCode's preferences.
That should mitigate your problem. Not perfect, but better. You'll
still run into problems debugging and setting breakpoints. But who
needs debuggers? We all write perfect code the first time through
right? ;-)
(For those less inclined for humor: those last two sentences were
facetious. :-)
