Trouble setting breakpoints in XCode 2.2

  • Subject: Trouble setting breakpoints in XCode 2.2

Hi,

After upgrading to XCode 2.2 I can no longer set any "normal" breakpoints even in the "Debug" configuration. Clicking on the text editor gutter does nothing, using "Add breakpoint at current line" in the "Debug" menu does nothing despite the fact that it is not grayed out and finally control-clicking in the gutter brings up a context menu with everything grayed out?

I can still drag & drop existing breakpoints in the gutter but cannot create any new ones. I'm in the "Development" configuration of a native executable. I have set per-architecture SDk settings using the _i386 and _ppc variants of the build settings, but the "Development" Configuration has only the default $(NATIVE_ARCH) value. Debug Symbols are generated, dead-code stripping is off, etc..

I have spent some time trying to get back to a "vanilla" build settings configuration to see whether this might be the cause for the odd behaviour, but no luck so far.

Has anybody encountered this problem before? How do get the breakpoints back?

Thanks for your insights.

Best regards,

Frank
