AS Studio is a pretty good beginners development environment. It has
the friend Apple Script with most of the power of Cocoa with all the
power there if you are willing to go the extra few steps. Studio
needs a little bit of extra help to be the iCode.
It would be too hard to unify carbon and cocoa or to drop support for
one of the other. There are features in each language that the other
lacks. Cocoa Java is even worse.
