No notification about status changes, however.

And you won't hear about a fix until the release with the fix is available, usually as a seed. So you might not hear anything for months or over a year, and then one day you'll get an e-mail that says "Engineering cannot reproduce the problem in the latest release of Mac OS X," and asking you to verify that it's fixed. They even use this phrasing when it's a feature request. ;-)
