Xcode 2.2.1 is available from your ADC login in the developer tools
download section. In general if you are developing for Intel I believe
Apple recommends updating to 2.2.1 but it isn't a critical update.
Changes in this release
• This is a bug fix release. Selected fixes were made in the Xcode
IDE, cctools, debugger, compiler. A couple fixes to note are:
o Xcode: When changing the main project-wide SDK using the popup in
the project inspector, Xcode will no longer automatically set
MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET for that SDK in the project's build settings
(removing any previous value); rather, the SDK-defaulted value of
MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET will be used explicitly when building, and
can be overridden at the project or target levels, as desired.
o Carbon Developer Tools: Endianness problems with DeRez and
bitfields, and Rez with the type and creator parameters, have been
fixed.
• The 10.4u SDK has been updated for development with Mac OS 10.4.4.
• CHUD has been updated to version 4.3.0.
