Thanks Scott and Fritz - I shall turn off the pre-bind option given that I'm targeting just 10.4 onward.

For the record, I note that pre-binding is unset by default for new projects (Cocoa apps at least). However my project was created 3 years ago which is why the option persists.

I'm curious as to why pre-binding a yes-yes in 10.2 but a no-no in 10.3 onwards. What was the change in thinking?

Lastly, 'tho the option is now unset by default, the description for the option in xcode reads:

"This setting determines if prebinding will be attempted by adding - prebind to linker flags, and defaults to being active for all product types except static libraries. [PREBINDING]"

...which is no longer the case.
