If you use Java 1.5, here's what I would recommend. First, uninstall
the old devtools and then install Xcode 2.3. Then, download the
J2SE5 R4 documentation and the May 2005 ADC Reference Library update
from the ADC site. Install the J2SE documentation first. This will
merely put the Java documentation in place. Then, install the
reference library, and choose the option to index Java documentation.
This didn't take too long on my iMac Core Duo. Maybe it's just the
machine. Regardless, this will save you from having to reindex when
you reinstall that J2SE5 docs. More importantly, it separates the
J2SE indexing from the rest of the Xcode install, so it'll be easier
to tell if something went wrong with the Xcode install.
