Okay, I guess I'm just an idiot when it comes to Xcode, but how to do I get it to do a full search and replace using all my source and header files? There's no Replace All button in the Find in Project window.

Sorry, I don't have headers for you to read, so you'll have to settle for documentation:

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/ XcodeUserGuide/Contents/Resources/en.lproj/01_07_pr_navigate/ chapter_10_section_2.html

In Project Find (which is implicitly multiple-file), Replace replaces in the hits selected in the Find Results, or in all of them if there is no selection.

Thanks. This works, but:

- Is it normal to apply an action to all items if none are selected?

- The documentation referenced above does not mention that Replace will replace all if no entry is selected.

- I've never needed to read documentation to use the global find and replace in any other application.

- I definitely prefer the CodeWarrior approach to this. I know it requires saving the changes and closing windows opened during the process, but it's saved my butt more than once to be able to watch the replace process as it's taking place when the results weren't quite what I'd anticipated. When that happened I could just abort the operation and close the windows without saving changes. I don't see any way to view the results before committing the changes with the Xcode approach. Am I missing something?
