After seeing the message from a Mac OS 9.2 user today on MacInTouch,
I guess not. All the laggards are still back on Mac OS. There is no
middle ground between 9.2.2 and 10.4.9.
More seriously, I'd like to make that decision based on actual
evidence. I'm well aware that markets vary by category. If I had the
total for each version of Mac OS X, I would have a baseline to adjust
from.
(And no, we don't have the numbers of our own customers. I know at
one point our web traffic was too high to keep logs for.)
Given that our engine supports 10.2, there's no real reason not to
keep making games that 10.2 users can buy. Though .dSYM support would
be handy...
