Are you hiding the TOC to save space, or for some other reason?

I hide the TOC to save space and/or minimize unnecessary distraction.
It's true that the pdf documents don't have a TOC, but I find them
less navigation-friendly than the html, and the web copies can be
slow to load/download.

I also often hide the toc for the same reasons.
I don't know if you get the problem too, but since the update, the toc
if unusable. Each time i click on a link in the toc, all sections
collapse.
This append only if i read the documentation into the Xcode
documentation window (in the split view), not when i open it in a
separate window or in Safari.
