About /Library/Caches/com.apple.Xcode.xxx

Is it OK to delete this folder without cleaning the related Xcode projects?

From what I see on my Mac, as this folder inflates well (730 MB in my case), it might be a good candidate for a spring cleaning when free space is required on a partition.

On a side note: what's wrong with ~/Library/Cache?

Since the folder is suffixed with a uid, one may think this folder could be put into ~/Library/Cache. And it would be easier to detect it if it was located in the user home folder.

Any enlightenment is welcome.

Xcode 2.4.something
Mac OS X 10.4.
