Just to add to this, Shark's Time Profile works by sampling in the
kernel. That way, the sampling happens on _everything_ running on
the system. This includes the kernel, kexts, and processes. You
should be able to use CLI shark to collect a session, reboot the
machine, and then copy the resulting session file off the system so
it can be analyzed on another machine.
