Actually, both projects have undergone clean and build.
Cleaning and rebuilding do not affect the index. If your index is out of date, corrupted, or has invalid information in it, Rebuild Code Sense Index is the way to fix it.
(And yes, searching for "codesense" will not find hits for "code sense". That's a good suggestion for a fix.)
