I was thinking ems because I use a different font size than the builtin default, and also for the resolution-independence feature of Leopard. px as a measure is so atypographical.

You're quite correct and I use Courier 10pt.


BTW, if you still have my previous posts, which margin illustration comes closest to your setup?

Your 3.0 shot looks like my 3.0 (Leopard installed as "Archive and Install" over a 10.4.10), and my Xcode 2.4.1 looks like your 2.5.

I definitely prefer the wider margin, not least because I use a graphics tablet (helps me manage my RSI), and 3.0's tiny margin is just too tiny. Accessibility is an important consideration, and none of us is getting any younger.
