What I do when I encounter this is to relaunch the Finder. Not a desirable thing, but it works.

Well, okay, that's a fairly simple workaround, so thanks for that. But can anyone explain what's happening? Is this the result of something Xcode is doing or I have only run into it with things Xcode is creating by coincidence?
