Thanks for the feedback.

I see that 'otool -L' shows libpng is linked dynamically, so the
missing dylib on the other machine must be the problem.

I checked settings in Xcode and "Library Style" is set to "Static".
Do I need something else to guarantee that libpng.a will be used?
