Basically, Apple uses the x86-64 ABI described at
<http://www.x86-64.org/documentation.html>, with a few differences
described at: <http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/universal_binary/universal_binary_abi_64/chapter_953_section_1.html>
