Me too - it has been driving me crazy lately. Like you, I've found
that if I single-step more slowly than normal then it's less likely
to happen. I have one theory that the more expressions you have in
your Expressions window the more likely it is to happen but I have no
proof of this.

This happens to me all the time too, in so many different projects
now, and at so many different points in my app, that I am convinced
it is an Xcode issue rather than my code. In my case the trigger
seems to be stepping through code too quickly. If I pause briefly
between steps, or use a temp breakpoint instead of single-stepping
through code I am not interested in, then it doesn't happen. Could
be a data formatter issue, as an earlier poster said, since that's
consistent with a pause between steps solving the problem.
