It's good to hear I'm not alone in that situation. I will try
cleaning the Expressions window and disabling the data formatters,
and report back to the list.
I'd love to hear from Apple regarding this situation, as this appears
to me as an extremely serious flaw for an IDE. I hope this is
addressed in the next update of the dev tools in Leopard.

Me too - it has been driving me crazy lately. Like you, I've found
that if I single-step more slowly than normal then it's less likely
to happen. I have one theory that the more expressions you have in
your Expressions window the more likely it is to happen but I have
no proof of this.

Any known workaround ? Anyone ? Apple ? It's kind of hard being

This happens to me all the time too, in so many different projects
now, and at so many different points in my app, that I am
convinced it is an Xcode issue rather than my code. In my case
the trigger seems to be stepping through code too quickly. If I
pause briefly between steps, or use a temp breakpoint instead of
single-stepping through code I am not interested in, then it
doesn't happen. Could be a data formatter issue, as an earlier
poster said, since that's consistent with a pause between steps
solving the problem.
