I'm not sure about the Xcode book, but I've been waiting for Hillegass' new edition. According to Amazon, Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X, 3rd Edition should be released on May 26.

Trouble is, as far as I'm aware there's no end date on the iPhone NDA.
I suspect the end date will be the same as the official release of the 2.0 software or WWDC (whichever comes first); although, I wish they would make it sooner. Being able to ask questions and get answers would be really nice.
If I were about to publish an Xcode book, I would also wait until the iPhone NDA was over (and have the developer tools settle down a bit). It seems that the iPhone is attracting a lot of non-Mac developers, and I would definitely want to tap that market. I wonder how many people will try out Xcode 3 for developing applications for iPhone and then also start creating applications for the Mac itself?
