Rob,
'@' indicates that the file has been assigned extended attributes.
See xattr --help for more info (my Leopard installation doesn't have a
manpage for xattr...)

I've also seen an addition sign '+' as well.
Where can I find a cheat sheet of "non-standard" permission
characters and what they mean?
I don't recall seeing this in OS X versions prior to Leopard, but
maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
