I found a project on the web I would like to use as an example. The
problem is I'm using xCode 3.1 and no matter what the file I assume
to be a project file is loaded by xCode but displayed as text, how
do I get this to work correctly?
Here's an example
I opened the zip and the folder contained a folder called
project.pbproj
and I opened it and found 2 files one called
proj.pbxuser
and another called
project.pbxproj.
How do I load and convert these to work with xCode 3.1?
A .pbproj package is a Project Builder project, many years old. Xcode
3 can't open them. The thing to do is to install Xcode 2.5 (available
as a download from the Apple Developer Connection -- free membership
required) and open it from there. Xcode 2.5 will offer to convert the
project. The resulting project can be opened by Xcode 3.
Note the capitalization: Xcode, not xCode.
