John, thank you for your comment. You should be a very kind person. But this is true.

Of course, I check the text encoding *first*. Because the text encoding is the most important issue for us to write AppleScript Studio program in Japanese environment, and no mistake.

So, I asked Mr. No.8 to tell the meaning of "GM" in Apple.
I found this by writing only 1 line of AppleScript code. It took just a minute!

This is the most stupid release ever. Leopard is the most stupid release, too. In Leoaprd, AppleScript can not detect the difference between "Katakana" and "Hiragana" in Japanese environment. It is unbelievable mistake. I reported it many times to bug-reporter. But Apple people can not understand the importance.

Do you imagine the world nobody can detect the difference between "A" and "B" ?

So, I want to know the real meaning of "GM" in Apple.

It means that all known P1 bugs have been addressed. It does not mean that the product is guaranteed to be bug-free, or even that all bugs are known. The bug reporting, seeding, and software update processes are the proper way to deal with newly-discovered bugs.
