Maybe I wasn't clear on this. I do mean the search field in the upper
right corner (I just gave some examples like Mail and Safari in the
original thread).

Well, that works for me too.

Well, I did link to the release notes for Xcode 2.3, and there it
works just as you described... BUT... in Xcode 3.1, it doesn't work at
all. Very annoying.
