Summary: Fixed, but not yet explained....
So I found one more instance of that non-default Build Products Path
in my .xcodeproj. It was in SSApp.xcodeproj/jk.pbxuser and looks like
this:
{
0867D690FE84028FC02AAC07 /* Project object */ = {
<snip>...</snip>
perUserProjectItems = {
4894A5E60D71CBB400546B0C = 4894A5E60D71CBB400546B0C /*
PBXTextBookmark */;
4894A5E80D71CBB400546B0C = 4894A5E80D71CBB400546B0C /*
PBXTextBookmark */;
<snip> There are 1900 "bookmarks" like this. Many of them
appear to be repeated. Strange, because I've never
used
text bookmarks, to my knowledge. </snip>
4894C4640D7D93B700546B0C = 4894C4640D7D93B700546B0C /*
PBXTextBookmark */;
};
sourceControlManager = 48DA21020A07B322000F6DD3 /* Source
Control */;
userBuildSettings = {
► SYMROOT = "$(SRCROOT)/../../Builds";
};
};
I don't ever remember using Source Control on this project either.
So, I quit Xcode and deleted all ^four^ lines of
SYMROOT = "$(SRCROOT)/../../Builds";
That is, I deleted the three lines in project.pbxproj which I had
deleted previously, and also this one I just found in jk.pbxuser. I
also deleted those silly 1900 text bookmarks.
Then, I re-opened the project in Xcode and, voila, finally, my friend,
the Build Products Path is set to the default value of "build".
So, apparently it was the entry in jk.pbxuser that was causing the
problem.
What do you know about jk.pbxuser? (jk is "me"). _______________________________________________
