move Xcode in it's original place (/Developper/Applications/) and it will work.
Thank you !!!! I guess this was my fault although it was the result of somethign weird that happened to the machine. Around the time this occured I found a number of applications in the wastebasket. I don't know how it happened, I doubt that it was something I had done. Some of the apps were preference panes froom the system preferences. When I dragged them back I had to supply the admin password. I assume that if I had moved them tothe wastebasket inadvertently I would have beed prompted for the password. In any case I didn't remember moving them there. I had no ide that Xcode lived somewhere else on the system. As it turns out I vave a version in the right place and it works.

Thanks again, I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. Telephone support was no help and repeated posting of the erro didn't draw a response from anyone at apple.

I guess the @rpath stuff is relative to the installation location of the app???
