The only problem is that the problem, as I've always understood it or
had it explained to me, has far more to do with the fact that GDB
isn't very good, and less with Xcode. So to fix it would (possibly?)
mean completely dumping GDB in favor of their own debugger or
drastically fix GDB. And I imagine that fixing GDB is pretty tall
order, and of dubious return since
1) Xcode is free
2) it would take a lot of work
Personally I'd gladly pay for Xcode if it meant the debugging tools
got fixed. Prior to Metrowerks going away, I was very close to
shelling out several hundred bucks for it because of frustrations with
Xcode.
