If your servers are mostly Windows, then using your full email address as
your user name is very common. I had to persuade our IT folks to change our
SVN server log ins to accommodate this. Inconvenienced a lot of folks.

This is fixed in the next version of Xcode. If you have access to the seeds, you should be able to verify this.
