I don't remember that I would need to turn off my computer by just
pressing a power button, because the whole environment is freeze, so
frequently. Also Xcode slows down so drastically, that choosing an
item from its menu becomes really not an easy task. I have 10.5.5
and Xcode 3.1.1. The experience of working with it becomes really
annoying. Any advice?
Hello Nava,
I haven't heard about that problem before. What type of machine do you
have, and in particular how many CPU cores? How much memory installed?
Do you hear a lot of disk activity when this happens? What are the
steps that you need to take in Xcode to trigger this problem?
I'd suggest that you file a bug report. This is the information that
would be interesting to include to begin with:
* A Shark "Time Profile" report for "Everything"
* A Shark "Time Profile (All Thread States)" report for Xcode
* Run "top -l 2" in a terminal and attach the output
* Any interesting output to be found in /Applications/Utilities/
Console.app
Note that it's very important that you grab these reports during the
time that you experience these problems!
You file the bug report here:
