I'm not aware of any way to do this currently. I'd file an enhancement
request asking for a simple mouse/keyboard way to collapse the outline
view.

In the build results window, Select All followed by left-arrow does
the job. This doesn't work in the search results window since it
goes out of its way to prevent you from selecting the parent nodes.
