Hi List,
I just upgraded to Xcode 3.1.1 from 3.0 and the agvtool no longer
supports the -terse1 option (this option extracts the marketing
version without printing any additional text).
I've used this to get the marketing version of an Xcode project
which then is used to build an disk image that uses this version
number as part of its name.
I don't know why it has been removed, is there an alternative way to
get the marketing version for use in a makefile?
I just tried this with an internal build, and "agvtool mvers -terse1"
worked properly for me (unfortunately, I don't have access right now
to Xcode 3.1.1 GM to test there).
I'd file a bug report about -terse1 not working in Xcode 3.1.1, I
doubt the breakage was intentional.
Scott
Thanks!
