Title: Speak string from text field
I don’t know what list this should go on.... So please be understanding if I posted this on the wrong list.
If I posted this to the wrong list please tell me what list to post it on

I am still new to Xcode & Objective C, I am trying to learn :-)

How can I find out what the user typed in a text field
And when a certain button from the nib is clicked speak the text from the text field.

In other languages, like BASIC I either used a
Speak command + a string$

Or a Unix terminal command called Say –v Alex + a string$

If this needs to go on the Objective C mailing list I will send it there
If someone tells me I posted this on the wrong list.

Thanks,

Brian Heibert
