Hopefully this helps someone else - a reinstall of xcode managed to fix the
problem.

I did a search for them and just deleted them all.

There was initially just one in the top level folder of where my project was
located, and I deleted that, but I still get the error.

I did: rm /Info.plist from the command line but there was no matching file,
and I still have this problem.

Any other ideas?

What Info.plist files did you delete?  If there's an Info.plist file
at the root of your startup volume - i.e. with the path /Info.plist -
then that's what's causing this.

Just delete that file and Xcode should launch fine.
