This actually happened to me. At first I thought is was gone because when I stuck it in the USB slot the running light would go on but croak after about 20 seconds -- not enough time to copy anything. But then I let it dry out for 3 days and tried again. Voila! Everything recovered and I use it to this day. Amazing. I'm completely sold and will certainly spring for the 64-256 Gig capacity ones when the price comes down a bit.
